Another year has come and gone. 2024 started off busy with American Star’s release in January, and we got Ryan in his “classy shirt.” This was a film we had been looking forward to for a while, and it was great seeing Adam work alongside Ian McShane.
There was a lot of anticipation for the second season of The Responder since Adam’s casting had been announced in late 2023. In April we got the trailer and our first look at Franny, and the season premiered in May. As a character, Franny is full of surprises, and Adam’s scenes with Martin Freeman’s Chris were funny, tense, and a fascinating look at what motivated these two men. The release of The Responder also brought some new interviews and an appearance from Adam with the rest of the cast at the show’s screening in Liverpool.
In late summer, we learned of Mike Clarkson’s new short film “Upholstergeist” and had our first look at Adam as the mysterious “Brother.” “Upholstergeist”‘s screening at the Bolton Film Festival in October was the perfect Halloween treat. Also in October, we learned that Adam was cast as “Grandma” in the spy drama The Agency for Showtime/Paramount+. The Agency premiered on November 29 and is still airing.
December has been pretty busy for show news. The Agency has been renewed for a second season. We also learned the airdate for A Thousand Blows on Disney+. It will premiere on February 21, 2025. We’re very excited to see Adam as Lord Lonsdale. Additionally, The Gold will air on PBS in 2025, although no date has been announced yet. The Gold was one of our favorite of Adam’s projects in 2023, and we’ll looking forward to revisiting it.
Also in December, Adam visited the Brontë Parsonage, which shared a photo from his visit on their social media. It was a lovely surprise to close out the year.
Looking forward to seeing what’s in store for 2025!
