Being a police sergeant in 1901 isn’t easy for George Gudget as a spate of mysterious crimes sweep through London. Gudgett considers himself a firm skeptic when it comes to the supernatural, but reports of ghosts, vampires, and spiritual mediums have him reconsidering some of his previously held beliefs. If only an author, a magician, and the first female constable at Scotland Yard would stop taking his cases and upstaging him.
